TECHNOLOGY
ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY

Our practice utilizes many of the newest technologies available in endodontics for your treatment. We use surgical operating microscopes, adapted for dentistry, during all phases of your endodontic treatment. The microscope allows us to visualize fine details (up to 20x the magnification of the naked eye) inside your tooth thus making our treatment more precise. Incredible innovation has allowed for effective cleaning of the deepest, most complex portions of the root canal system.

We are proud to offer that technology with the GentleWave® Procedure. We also use digital radiography to take radiographic images of your teeth, which can be viewed on monitors in each treatment room.

Our dental software allows you to register online and update your information at your convenience; additionally, your dentist can follow the progress of your care in our office in real time.

SURGICAL OPERATING MICROSCOPES

The microscope revolutionized the endodontic specialty and has become the standard of care for root canal treatment. It allows unprecedented visualization of the finest detail and precise execution of each aspect of treatment: access, clean, and seal the root canal system.

GentleWave

Effectively cleaning the deepest, most complex portions1,2**of the root canal system requires incredible innovation—and we are proud to offer that technology with the GentleWave® Procedure.

The GentleWave Procedure is a state-of-the-art alternative to standard root canal treatment. The ultracleaning technology of the GentleWave Procedure is an advanced combination of fluid dynamics and a broad range of soundwaves that work together to reach into the microscopic spaces1,2** and remove bacteria, debris and tissue.2** The GentleWave Procedure is so effective at cleaning and disinfecting the root canal system, there's less chance of failure over time.3**

The GentleWave Procedure uses a minimally invasive1 protocol to access the infected root canal system, which means it is preserving more of the natural tooth and, in doing so, is helping to keep the tooth’s structure strong. With the GentleWave Procedure we can also typically clean and fill the tooth in just one appointment,3** which may reduce the number of appointments required.

Achieving an exceptional level of clean requires advanced endodontics—and that’s something we take pride in providing. Contact us today to discover the GentleWave Difference for yourself.

3D Imaging

One of the recent technologies being incorporated in endodontics is 3D imaging, also known as "CBCT" or Cone Beam Computed Tomography. It is similar technology commonly referred to in medicine as a "CT". Its use in endodontics is limited to a very small volume of interest around the tooth and surrounding tissues resulting in a fraction of the radiation needed for medical CT imaging.

This imaging process has provided a giant leap forward in the endodontic specialty and has increased the overall diagnostic accuracy which can be limited with conventional x-ray technology. Having “X-ray vision” of the tooth also allows for more precise treatment making treatment less invasive.

Digital Radiography

Digital radiography is a type of X-ray imaging that uses digital X-ray sensors to replace traditional X-ray film, producing enhanced computer images of teeth.  Digital radiographs can be viewed immediately and enhanced easily which can provide better contrast and detail.  They are easily transmitted electronically to dental offices without a loss of quality.  One additional benefit is that digital x-rays reduce radiation exposure 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of conventional x-rays.

TDO Software

TDO Software is a paperless system used to manage all patient records and information. This secure technology enables us to diagnose and treat our patients more efficiently and to communicate more effectively with both the patient and referring Doctor.
